Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all aspects of the timely and quality-focused production of immunoassay products (lateral flow and ELISA), including management of production staff.
Production Coordination:
- Responsible for all logistics related to production operations.
- Coordinate production schedule.
- Accountable for accuracy and completeness of all database entries, as it pertains to product manufacturing.
- A primary liaison between the Immunoassay group and other divisions and departments within the company.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials and consumables for the group.
- Place orders for raw materials, consumables and equipment for Manufacturing and product development activities.
- Primary lab representative for safety and facilities issues.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Receive relevant production requests and ensure efficient production, following current ISO procedures.
- Monitor production rates and product quality, and implement both cost and quality improvement initiatives.
- Write / update ISO documents as necessary.
- Evaluate alternate raw material suppliers and new raw material lots.
- Responsible for transfer of new products/processes into the manufacturing system.
- Responsible for transfer of scaled-up processes into the manufacturing system.
- Train personnel on production procedures.
- Assist with technical service and troubleshooting support as necessary.
- Investigate and recommend equipment replacement / addition.
Education, Training, and Experience:
This position requires the ability to oversee production and supervise subordinates effectively. An undergraduate degree in a life science or business is desirable. A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in the diagnostics industry (specifically lateral flow assays) is essential. The person filling this position must be self-motivated and organized, with good interpersonal and leadership skills.

The business engages in contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) for leading diagnostics and lab product distributors and directly markets products under our own brands to clinical, biotech and university labs.
SUMMARY:
We are looking for a entry level Quality Assurance Specialist / Technician willing to learn, understand, and apply current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and ISO 13485 quality management systems for medical devices. This includes but is not limited to good documentation practices (GDP), control of nonconforming products, change control, corrective and preventative actions, root cause analysis, calibration, and internal audits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review batch records and forms for good documentation practices
- Post batch records in ERP system and green tag approved final product
- Review customer certificate of Analysis (COAs)
- Assist with root cause analysis of non-conforming product and product complaints
- Scan and file all quality documentation e.g., nonconformances, CAPAs, batch records, complaints, etc.
- Perform incoming inspection on key packaging and components
- Assist with internal or spot audits
- Participate in the preparation and review of QA files for customer and ISO onsite audits
- Update various databases e.g., customer complaints, non-conformance, CAPAs etc.
- Review production line and equipment logbooks for completeness and good documentation
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education / Experience:
- Associate’s degree in life sciences or a related discipline and a minimum of one year work experience
- OR a high school diploma and a minimum of 4 years’ work experience preferably in a quality assurance role or in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Able to comprehend regulations and guidance documents and apply critical thinking skills to evaluate requirements.
- Proficient judgment, decision-making, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, and detail oriented

Machine operator
Operation of filling or packaging equipment in accordance with good manufacturing practices. Responsible to perform various quality checks and assist in the cleaning and change-over of equipment as well as maintaining an accurate inventory through activities such as: proper reporting of material usage, minimizing wastes, and ensuring that measuring devices are properly calibrated.

Description:
We require an experienced Plant Mechanic to support our growing operations and customer base. We’re hiring a Plant Mechanic that will be responsible for setup, troubleshooting, cleaning and preventative maintenance activities on equipment such as tube filler, single and multihead liquid fillers, labelers, sealers, inkjet printers, cappers, and related mixing/manufacturing equipment, etc. This role uses skilled trade expertise to maintain equipment, perform changeover activities and identify improvement opportunities to minimize equipment downtime, improve safety, quality and production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all scheduled packaging manufacturing/packaging preventative maintenance on time and ensure properly documented
- Complete process paperwork using Good Documentation Practices as it relates to manufacturing activities
- Demonstrate competency with setup and troubleshooting of all packaging equipment, tube fillers, packet fillers, single and multihead liquid fillers, labelers, sealers, inkjet printers, etc. Includes knowing where manuals are kept, using internet sources to research spare parts and technical assistance, and placing purchasing requisitions in the ERP system.
- Demonstrate proficiency with performing safety protocols including PPE, LOTO, SWP, NFPA 70E etc.
- Must be able to adhere to all safety procedures and rules without compromise. This includes working safety in Class 1, Division 1 (flammable/ignitable areas). Must comply with all grounding and bonding procedures.
- Actively participate in 5S activities with Maintenance and Packaging departments including spare parts and inventory
- Complete all assigned work orders properly the first time and in a timely manner. Operate with a sense of urgency and firsttimeright mentality
- Engage with operators, supervision, and management on a daily basis with a proactive, positive, cando attitude providing accurate and timely feedback on status of work. Communicate in written and verbal format daily to supervisor and other mechanic(s) on status of work and any followup that may be needed
- Be able to periodically work in a Clean Room environment wearing all necessary PPE
- Remain flexible and energetic to support department and organizational needs as they may change
- Provide training as necessary to operators and other mechanics on basic equipment adjustments, operation, and minor maintenance such as changing label rolls, etc
- This role will require the candidate to be flexible and fill in as a production associate as needed per production requirements
Education and Skills needed:
- HS diploma or the equivalent
- Post High School technical degree or certification preferred
- 5 years of demonstrated, equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical abilities required.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting capabilities desired
