What is ACR?

As damaged kidneys permit albumin to pass into the urine, albuminuria is an an accepted marker of kidney disease.  Indexing the urine albumin concentration to urine creatinine concentration (urine-to-creatinine ratio, ACR), is often used to standardize results, accounting for fluid intake, medications and time of day.  Our Creatinine Companion ELISA has been developed for that very purpose, and is designed for universal use with our Mouse (Albuwell), Human (Albuwell) and Rat (Nephrat II) ELISAs.

Thursday, March 9, 2023 is World Kidney Day and at Ethos Biosciences we’re celebrating advancements in research, diagnostics and treatments across nephrology.

From the original Albuwell ELISA and Creatinine Companion Kits, which have become the gold standard assays for microalbuminuria measurement, the analyte list has expanded to include biomarkers for other conditions that frequently co-occur with diabetes. Regardless of the analyte, each kit embodies Ethos’ commitment to accurate and precise measurement, with reagents and assays designed to maximize quality and ease-of-use while minimizing variability.
