Description
Hematoxylin Harris, Hg Free, Acidified is a general purpose nuclear stain, regressive type. Hematoxylin is a positively charged dye that appears as a purple-to-blue stain color on tissue samples. Hematoxylin adheres to the DNA and nucleoprotein-holding cell nucleus and highlights RNA-containing organelles. This stain is a modified progressive hematoxylin that has been optimized to achieve a vivid color in as little as 3 to 5 minutes.
Used with hematoxylin and eosin staining.
